Let’s Connect, Act and Grow Together This Autism Month!
Each April during World Autism Month, we acknowledge the strengths, achievements and uniqueness of people on the Autism spectrum.
We encourage you to join us in increasing awareness and understanding of Autism as we aim to make lasting change through connection and action.
Whether you are an individual with Autism, family member or friend, school, community group or workplace, there are so many ways to get involved this April. You can learn more about Autism, make a donation to support West Australian individuals and their families, participate in or host a community event, visit the Light Up the Spectrum trail locations on World Autism Day, or simply share your favourite moments from the month with us.
We look forward to seeing the community come together for Autism Month 2026 to connect, act and create a more inclusive community where we can all grow together.

Community Wall
As we connect, act and grow together this Autism Month, we invite you to share your voice with the community. This wall is a space for everyone to share and acknowledge journeys and show support for Autistic individuals and their families across Western Australia. Your message helps contribute to building a future where Autistic people are not only accepted but celebrated for their uniqueness and for who they are.
Not sure what you want to write? Here are a few examples you might use to write your message:

Take on the Light Up the Spectrum trail
On World Autism Day we are partnering with buildings and landmarks across Western Australia to light up our State in a spectrum of colour – signifying that we are a diverse community where everyone is valued and has something to contribute
Over 55 buildings and landmarks across metro and regional WA are taking part in this year's Light Up the Spectrum trail. Join us in showing your support for the Autism community by visiting your closest landmarks and sharing your photos on social media using the hashtag #LightUpTheSpectrum!
Read our sensory guide to taking on the trail and click the button below to see the full Light Up the Spectrum map and plan your pathway.
Fundraising
Fundraising is an enjoyable, social and rewarding way to make a difference – not just during Autism Month but any time. When you choose to fundraise for the Autism Association of WA, you are helping support individuals with Autism and their families to reach their goals and live the life they want.
There are so many simple ways to fundraise, from hosting a morning tea or trivia night for your family and friends, putting on a community picnic or a free dress day at your school or workplace.
Make your next event meaningful — connect friends, act together, and help Autistic individuals live their best lives.
